The Authentic MakeUp Eraser Review & Cruelty-Free Status!

Hello Friends!
I wanted to share with you a product that has both wowed me and made my night time routine a breeze! I'm talking about the MakeUp Eraser!

I was sent this by the lovely Kim Wolf. She contacted me asking if I was interested in reviewing this product. I had not heard anything about it and didn't know anything about the company. Therefore, I asked her to provide for me information about the company's [MakeUp Eraser] cruelty-free status.

I used the template I always use when I email companies! Click here to check it out and feel free to use it. (Just use your name).

I received a reply:
1. Does your company test ingredients or/and finished products on animals? NO

2. Do you test ingredients or products on animals through a 3rd party? NO.  If your answer is no, how do you ensure that your manufacturers do not test?  Our product is manufactured in China through our specs and we do not test on animals nor did we ok testing on animals.

3. Do your manufacturers test ingredients or products on animals?  We are unaware of any testing.

4. Are you owned or affiliated with any companies that test products or ingredients on animals?  We are not affiliated with any other company.

5. Do you have a parent company? If so who are they?   No parent company.

6. Do you/your parent company currently or have plans to market and sell your products in the Chinese market, which requires animal testing by law to sell in that country? We do not currently sell to the Chinese market and have no current plan to do so.

7. Do you use palm oil/carnuaba wax in any of your products? If so, is it from an organic and sustainable source? We have no oils or wax in our product it is 100% polyester

8. Could you provide a list of all of your current vegan items available for purchase? The MakeUp Eraser cloth is our only product.

Please let me know if you would still like to try our MakeUp Eraser.  We not only don't allow testing on animals, but because it's a soft cloth that you just add warm water to...there are no soaps or chemicals to put into our rivers and streams.

I look forward to hearing from you!
Kind Regards,

Note: I always get this question: If a company manufactures in China does that mean they test on animals!? The simple answer is no. However, check out Logical Harmony's post for far more details!

As you can see by the reply I received the Makeup Eraser is cruelty-free! Yay!

The Review:

Before you use it you need to wash it. Once you've washed it make sure to rinse any excess water. You want the cloth to be damp but NOT wet. I find it works best when it's damp.
One side has longer fibers and the other has shorter fibers. Use the side with the short fibers to remove your makeup and the long fibers side to exfoliate.

I have very few "bad" things to say about this product. It is awesome! I am so impressed I want to get one for all the ladies in my life. Especially my mom because she is infamous for "forgetting" to take her makeup off at night. It drives me crazy!

Around the time I was sent this I was starting finals week! AHHH! Needless to say, I didn't have time for anything and at night I was beyond exhausted. Prior to using the Makeup Eraser I used my Mineral Fusion makeup remover. I still LOVE this makeup remover but to quickly remove your makeup the MakeUp Eraser wins!

I was wearing very little makeup during finals week. I'm talking about foundation, eyeshadow and mascara. It got that off easily. On the weekends and after finals I wore more makeup. I'm talking about eyeliner and purple and bronzy shadows. It also got that off easily! That's when I really became super impressed!

It's suppose to remove water proof mascara and eyeliner, however I do not use waterproof mascara or eyeliner so I can't say if it works for that.

I've had it for a month now and it seems to work better with use.

I really am not being paid to say all of this. The only benefit I got was being able to test something for free. I really love this product and can't see myself using anything else.

Upon the first two or so uses I had a few fussy balls of pink fiber on my face. It wasn't super annoying, but definitely a bit weird.

It does not stain, meaning I was able to remove the mascara and foundation off the cloth, but you do need to wash it very well! Put a bit of elbow grease into it.

I worried about the hygienic side of this cloth. Be sure to wash it well and give it a deep wash at least twice a week. I mean using tea tree soap and other bacteria killing soap safe for your face.

If you would like to try the Makeup Eraser check out Authentic MakeUp Eraser. It retails for only $19.97! You will be buying if from Kim Wolf (she's a distributor) who reached out to me. I would really appreciate if you support her! She's super sweet and also a fellow cruelty-free makeup lover!

I hope you enjoyed this review! I love finding innovative products and sharing them with you guys!

What Are You Thankful For ||Thanksgiving 2014

Hey guys.

I hope that you had a beautiful and food-full Thanksgiving. If you don't live in the USA or just don't celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope that you had good Thursday.

I wanted to share with you what I'm thankful for.

This is a very personal post and I know some don't like personal blog posts. However, this is not just a beauty blog it's a lifestyle blog, aka my life. :)

1. Family:
My family is everything to me. My parents had me when they were 19 going on 20 and have sacrificed so much to give me everything. Not just material things but also a lot of love. . They've come from  humble families and have taught me to be humble. My sister is my best friend and she makes me laugh everyday. She is the voice of encouragement I need and really my cheerleader. (She's probably laugh for calling her a cheerleader). My dogs, Scruffy and Bruno. Yes, they are very much part of my family. They give me so much comfort when I'm feeling down. I can always go to them and cuddle them and not once I have not felt 110% better.

2. God:
Only God knows the lowest of lows I've hit in my life. I'm so happy now but that wasn't always the case. I felt his love for me during those times and it changed my life. Only He has seen my heart and read my every thought and the fact that he still loves me is very surprising. Even though I don't deserve it I have been given a great gift, salvation. I do believe in the "afterlife" and I take comfort in my belief that someday I will be in eternal life in heaven with my savior, Jesus. I don't believe that my "belief" makes me a better person rather a saved person. I love you all and pray for your salvation.

I pray for health and eternal life for you and your loved ones.

Lots of Love,

elf Haul || New Products

Hey guys!

I'm really excited to be back with a big elf Haul. I always find myself browsing the elf site, they have wonderful new products all the time. I usually wait until there is at least 10 products I want to try to order. The main reason is because it usually takes FOREVER for the products to arrive. Last time I placed an order it took like a month. This time I was pleasantly surprised to find my products at my door step 8-days after I placed my order. WHAT!?

Everything arrived in mint condition. The only problem I had was that they shipped me one wrong product. However, I emailed them and they apologized and have already shipped me the correct product. Their customer service is amazing!

1. elf Blush Palette in "Light":
Ahh, so excited to have my hands on this guy. I am a HUGE fan of elf's blushes and I knew these would be amazing. The texture is very smooth and fine. They are really wonderfully pigmented. There seems to be little to no fall-out.

2. elf Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow
OH MY LANTA! These are soo great. I've actually already worn "toast" & golly! The texture is buttery and almost bouncy. So beautiful! If you like glittery shadows consider these next time you're at Target or on elf's site. "Toast" is the perfect Christmas gold!

3. elf Waterproof Shadow Liner(s)
I've been looking for liners to replace my NYX liners. (NYX has been bought by L'oreal and I will no longer support them). These intrigued me as I think they might work as liners and bases for eyeshadow. I've loved them swatched but haven't actually worn them. Beautiful colors,  I'm so impressed!

4. elf Matte Lip Color (s)
I have the shade "Rich Red" and it's my favorite red color. I got "tea rose" and "praline". I love love love love mattes lippies and these are one of my favorite formulas.

"tea rose", "praline'

Top: Praline
Bottom: Tea Rose

Like I mentioned I ordered the e.l.f. Essential 18 Piece Eyeshadow Palette but it didn't arrive. I'm so excited to also share with you swatches of it once it arrives.

Also, I'm going to film my thoughts of my October Petit Vour box and products I liked from my September box. So keep an eye out for that!

Farewell for now lovelies. <3

Lots of Love,

elf Prism Eyeshadow Palette in "Sunset" || First Impression and Swatches :: Fall Eyeshadows

Hey guys!

I've been eyeshadow crazy lately. I've been itching to get my hands on both the Too-Faced Everything Nice Gift Palette and the MakeUp Geek Vegas Lights Palette. Have you seen/read reviews of these palettes? They look gorgeous! They have so many Fall to Winter shades I really want to try.

I really wanted to share this elf Prism Eyeshadow Palette called "Sunset" because I think it has beautiful Fall shades. I randomly found it in Target yesterday and I wanted to put this post up ASAP because I'm already in love with it! It only retails for $10.00 which is a bit more pricey than other elf products but still very reasonably priced if you ask me.

This isn't a review, it's more of a first impressions post.

These don't have individual eyeshadow names (boo!) so I decided to number them from left to right.

These remind me a lot of baked eyeshadows. They are very very metallic and shimmery, not one is matte. The box in which the palette came says you can wear them wet or dry. The swatches you see above are dry. I also used Wet N' Wild's Fergie Eye Primer. I think the pigmentation of 1,3,4,and 5 is very impressive. Numbers 2 and 6 are a bit more chalky and I did need to apply more to get an opaque look.

They did have some fall out but nothing to make me go bananas over.

The box also claims that these have a cream texture. I do agree that they have a LOVELY texture I wouldn't consider them to feel exactly like a cream. They do feel very fine and silky.

I can't wait to actually wear them and share with you some looks!

While you're looking at Fall to Winter palettes you might consider this for yourself or for a friend!

**Disclaimer: I bought this with my own money!

Lots of Love,

PetitVour Vegan & Cruelty-Free Beauty-Box || Beauty and the Box | September 2014

Hey guys! I'm so excited to share my first PetitVour Box with you. It's called Beauty and the Box this month!

I really wanted to jump on the beauty-subscription train since BirchBox became popular. I just think the idea of having beauty products to try each month for $10-15 bucks is amazing! If you're a beauty junkie you know what I mean!

Around the time BirchBox became popular I decide to go vegetarian and then I decided to explore cruelty-free makeup, so BirchBox wasn't an option. Then I discovered the lovely Tashina from LogicalHarmony and when she partnered with Petit Vour, I knew Petit Vour would be the one.

So this is the September Petit Vour Box, co-created by Logical Harmony! It's $15 a month (free shipping in the US) or you can get a 3-month subscription for $45.00, 6-months for $ 90.00, etc.

Don't get me started on how awesome I think it is that a fellow blogger is part of this! It just makes me ooze with happiness! Also, I'm really itching to try another box, I'm thinking VeganCuts!

(Upper Left: LVX 5 Free Nail Lacquer in "Lolli", Upper Right: Ellovi Tinted Lip Butter, Lower Left: Yarok Leave-In Conditioner, Lower Right: Roots Science Skincare )

My box came with four goodies! Remember that not all boxes are the same, you might get different products than me.

1. LVX Nail Lacquer in "Lolli" : Value: $16.00
I was so beyond excited when I opened the box and saw that I got a nail polish! I've been on a big nail polish kick as of late.
I've had a chance to try this guy (I got the box three days ago) and I have mixed feelings.
I love that fact that it's a VEGAN nail polish! It's a gorgeous "cotton-candy" pink. A color I normally wouldn't pick out for myself but I really love it on. It makes my hands look feminine. It needs at least two (I prefer three) coats for an opaque application. The main reason I'm not 100% in love is because it chips pretty quickly. The picture above was taken 12ish hours after I applied it. I've been having bad luck with nail polish lately.

2. YAROK Leave-In Conditioner: Value: $13.20
This is really good for your hair because it has vitamins, minerals and essential oils. I've only sprayed this twice so I can't give a lot of opinions about it. I will say that it made my hair feel super smooth right away. I also like that it's a very nice sized sample! I'm super excited to continue using this one!

3. Roots Science SkinCare: Value: (Full-Size) $49.00-59.00
This guy is the most intriguing of the bunch. It's a type of face wash/mask. It's made with organic cold pressed minerals which are supposed to detoxify your skin. I have not tried this and so I'm telling you what I know about it if from the little card that lists all the products I received in my box. It has its own card with instructions. I'm really excited to try this!

4. ellovi Tinted Lip Butter: Value: $5.00
I have had a chance to try this one and I'm really liking it. What can I say I adore lip products. It has a slight, slight tint which comes from " the red root of a Mediterranean flower called askant". It smells a bit chocolately to me. It's nice! I'm really enjoying it! It's only made with 6-ingredients.

The entire box's value is ~ $83.20 !

I'm so happy I decide to try this & overall I'm quite in love.

I hope you enjoyed reading this! Leave me feedback if you'd like!

Milani Color Statement Polishes || Review

Hey friends! I wanted to share my thoughts on some Milani Color Statement polishes I picked up exactly a week ago. Each retailed for $3.45 at WalMart.

I picked up (left to right): Blue Print, Quick Dry Top Coat, & Tattle Teal.

As you can tell, the colors are beautiful! I mean your nails will certainly grab people's attention. I know this because I got a lot of compliments.

Also, the formula is super opaque and will go on perfectly in two coats. Both polishes dry super quickly. They are so glossy and so a top coat isn't really necessary. ( Said no girl ever). However, I went over them with the Quick Dry Top Coat and I really really loved the finished look. The top coat does what it claims, it drys in a few minutes.

You might be surprised to find, after all the praise I'm giving these polishes, that I do not recommend them. Why?

They do not last at all! I mean within minutes of them drying they were chipping! Come on?! That's beyond ridiculous, it's infuriating.

It's not just me, I read MakeupGuineaPig's (aka Christine's) post A Dozen Ways to Nail It and she mentioned a shade, "sugar plum", from this line. It seemed the chip on her quickly so I'm certain the formula is the issue here. Which is very maddening!

Have you tried any of nail polish from this new range? If you have what do you think? Also, is there a trick to make nail polish last longer? I really want to work with them! I'm hoping I can make them last longer! Maybe a different top coat?

I'm not sure if you can see it, but the the polish is already chipping! I had only just applied this polish a few hours ago. So disappointing.

They're so pretty! Why?

Lots of Love,

Silver Glitz || Nail of the Day ||

Hey guys!
So I wanted to share this gorgeous combination!

I'm wearing Milani's Nail Lacquer in "Silver Dazzle" as the base color. Which I found in Dollar Tree for $1.00! What a steal!

As a top coat I have this pretty multi-color nail polish. Which, is from a non-CF company. I must of had it for a long time because I found it hidden inside this pencil bin. I'm sure you can find something similar, if not the same glitter top-coat. I've noticed almost all brands have one.

Here's Milani's "Silver Dazzle".

As  can see it's really glittery but has a matte and textured look. I'm not a huge fan of that look so I needed to use a glossy top-coat.

I really don't like using flash for my blog pictures, but I felt like only the flash picked up the beautifulness of this polish. (Yes, beautifulness)! The glitter is super fine!

I hope you liked this!

Lots of Love,
